Oh My Goodness Heal Already!

Well I am alive and slowly healing, I think...Oy Vey!

Sorry it has been so long.  I've been having a lot of days spent in pain and some spent doing too much, which is probably why I've had those pain days.  Last doctors visit was okay, I am still unable to sit for more than 2-3 minutes, but able to swim 1-2 hours at a time, and take short walks.  Not exactly back to anything normal but I'll take it.  What choice do I really have, huh?

Life has slowed to a crawl for me, at least that is how it seems now that I cannot run whenever I want, or take a speed walk or ride the bikes at the gym.  At the same time, life seems to be flying by, I mean it's already the end of July, Wow!

I'm in the process of trying to write a book about my injury and how it came about, how I'm dealing with it and why I think God had a hand in it.  This process is fun and cathartic for sure. When all is said and done I hope it helps someone else out there who may have this same injury or a similar one that takes away their ability to participate in their passion.

I have been reading a lot of books this summer, swimming at the YMCA with the family, and watching too much television.  Anyone watch the Tour de France? Or how about the Olympics? Just this morning I watched the women's Olympic soccer USA 3 against Columbia 0, what a dominating game by the USA it was.  Loved every minute of it. I tried to stay up throughout the entire Opening Ceremony last night but only made it thru part of the march of the nations or something like that...I made it to the P's but fell asleep soon after that.

I have not had my laptop for awhile as my son burnt out the power cord and it took awhile to replace it...but all is good, I have returned.  Sorry I've not been able to comment or read your wonderful posts, that will change as I'm powered up once again and able to get back to blogging and all that entails.

Love and blessings to y'all.  Stop by and let me know how your summer is going, and I'll be by to read up on your posts asap!

Godspeed...this comes from the Middle English expression "God spede (you)", a wish for success and fortune for one setting out on an enterprise, voyage, adventure, or travels. It may also mean good luck.

  4. That is awesome that you are writing a book about your injury experience. I would read it for sure, having gone through (and still going through) some stubborn injuries. Your thoughts would definitely help me a lot!

Thinking about you and praying for you as always!!!
