THE jump squat is a fun exercise, yet it is so powerful and good for sculpting your legs and shaping your glutes according to Be Fit With Kristen. Head over to wikiHow and check out a great demonstration on how to do these little buggers correctly and in different ways like standing on one foot (say what?). When I'm exercising at home I like to include these in my workout, along with mountain climbers, burpees, etc...it makes for a great and intense workout.
YOU could also incorporate these into your running routine. Run for 5-20 minutes then stop and perform 10 jump squats, follow that up with running another 5-20 minutes and perform 20 mountain climbers...keep repeating until you have reached your desired running time. This would be great to add into my interval training, come to think of it!

DeleteI try not to do jump squats on purpose. I do have a funny story, I was out front when I thought I heard a rattlesnake rattle, I made definite improvement in my vertical leap training...
