Over-pronation
is...Excessive inward roll of the foot after landing, such that the
foot continues to roll when it should be pushing off. This can twist the
foot, shin and knee causing pain or injury in those areas. One way to
tell if you have an over-pronation
problem is to look at the inside sole of your shoes, if there is
excessive wear there, then you have a problem. Two things that
contribute to over-pronation are flat feet and knock knees.

Such great information! I am knock-kneed and I definitely pronate to the point where my shoes become lopsided after I've worn them for awhile. I wear insoles in my running shoes and they have made a huge difference. Gotta love the science behind running shoes. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog. I have never been a runner, but a year ago I started jogging and after the initial horror has worn off I actually started to enjoy it. Sadly, I am now working full time and no longer seem to find the time so have lapsed back into a lazy walker! Great info tho.
